facelift which will be officially presented at the Geneva Motor Show next week. The new model includes a new range of engines that makes it the most efficient model ever of the British brand.
More efficient engines
The new Range Rover Evoque receives a new range of the new Ingenium family of engines. The aluminum engine Ingenium TD4 is 20 to 30 kg lighter than its predecessor and will be available with two outputs: 150 and 180hp. The first features an average consumption of 4.2l/100km and CO2 emissions of 109g/km, while the second one consumes 4.8l/100km and emits 125g/km of CO2.
The 240hp Si4 petrol engine is another proposal of Land Rover for the Range Rover Evoque range. Thanks to this advanced engine the Evoque can reach 100km/h in 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 217km/h. The average consumption is previewed at 7.8l/100km, with CO2 emissions of 181g/km.
The new Range Rover Evoque will also be the first model of Land Rover to be designated as a "E-Capability" variant. For this reason the most efficient versions eD4 will use the Evoque blue badge. The front wheel drive versions emit 109g/km (coupe) and 113g/km (five-door), while the four wheel drive version emits 125g/km of CO2.
Land Rover will extend the engine overhaul period by 8000km to about 33800km to reduce the cost of ownership of the Evoque.
Design retouched
In terms of design Land Rover has made some changes on the Evoque, including a new front bumper, larger air intakes, two new grid designs, full-LED adaptative headlights and new alloy wheel designs. The rear gets a new spoiler and upper brake lights in LED. Inside the updates include new seats, door frames, new softer materials and more color options.
Although it hasn't been confirmed yet, there is a possibility that the new Evoque becomes available with a cabriolet variant.
