Lotus is celebrating its' 50 years of presence at the famous Hethel site with a limited Elise 250 Special Edition.
Limited to a 50 unit production series the
Elise 250 Special Edition is based on the
Elise Cup 250. However thanks to the addition of the special edition a carbon front splitter, rear wing, and boot front access panel as standard the car's weight has been lowered to 899kg.
In terms of engine the 250 Special Edition is powered by the same supercharged four-cylinder 1.8l engine with 246hp and 250Nm of torque. Fitted with a six-speed manual transmission the special edition Elise can reach the 100km/h mark in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 248km/h.
The car will be availble in a choice of four colours as well as with an optional carbon fibre hardtop roof panel. Leather seats with contrast stitching and silver or black alloys are also available.
With the tag price of £47,900 the Elise 250 Special Edition will sit at the top of model range as the most expensive version, right above the 250 Cup.
