New Chevrolet Colorado makes Thailand debut

The Chevrolet Colorado pick up has made its global debut in Thailand. It offers increased technology, features and value over the previous model in order to keep pace with the competition.

Chevrolet will offer customers 26 combinations when the range goes on sale this month. Single, extended and crew-cab options will be available, with narrow and wide bodies. The truck will also be available in 2 and 4 wheel drive.

The Colorado will be offered with 2 new turbo diesel engines in order to mix performance and economy effectively.

GM Thailand President Martin Apfel seems confident that the new Colorado will deliver “handling characteristics unexpected of a mid-size pickup.” He also says the new Colorado will feature the newest safety features including stability control and cornering brake control, all developed over 2.5 million Km of driving.

The 2.8 litre engine has 180 horsepower and 346 lb.-ft. Of torque while the 2.5 produces 150 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. Of torque.

Chevrolet has designed the Colorado to be more stylish than its predecessor. Design features include a power dome in the bonnet and a prominent dual-port grille. Inside, occupants gain USB connectivity and auxiliary power.
