had a little accident on Twitter today. The boutique British sports car maker tweeted a picture of its M600Noble M600United Kingdom, 2011 > present5 photos
supercar with the top removed, and the motoring press jumped on it immediately thinking that Noble had unveiled a new model. Shortly after, Noble tweeted the following message clarifying things.
"Oh no what have we done? Drop head was only a "I wonder what would it look like with the roof off" scribble... honest."
Even if the drop top M600 is just an idea, it looks like a good one. Noble Managing Director Peter Boutwood clarified that the car is "not completely out of the question. We could see it being popular in China."
The convertible version would use the same 4.4 liter, twin-turbocharged V8 with 650hp and and 604lb-ft of torque. The standard M600 costs £200k; so the convertible would likely be a bit more. The major problem with the car is what to do with the roof. Because the car has a mid-engine, there is not a lot of room behind the driver to fold the roof into.
