Red Bull ran some risks in developing the new RB12 as it only started making FIA's safety tests on Monday 15th

Red Bull unveiled the new Formula 1car from the team for the 2106 season: the RB12. Last week the team had already revealed the matte livery of the vehicle, but now we got know the car that was driven in the winter testing in Barcelona.

Last week Christian Horner had already stated that Red Bull ran some risks in developing the new RB12 as it only started making the safety tests required by the FIA on Monday 15th.

After many problems with the engines last season, Red Bull decided to maintain in 2016 the engines from the French brand Renault, however its power unit will be badged Tag Heuer. Remind that the team was almost breaking with the French brand, but ultimately decided to keep these engines in 2016, which made Red Bull lose some development time which it had to recover during winter.

The team will try to improve in 2016 on the progress achieved in the second half of the season. The goal is to start from that point and improve in order to close up the gap to its main opponents.

Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat remain at the wheel for Red Bull.
