have worked in their down time to split a Formula 1 car in half lengthwise. Thankfully, they produced a video of their project to show all the work that it took.

“Formula One is all about cutting-edge technology. We’ve all seen countless pictures of racing cars, but wouldn’t it be great to really explore inside it – as if peering into the core of an apple," said Chief Designer Matt Morris.

The project went to far as to cut the engine, gearbox and clutch in half as well, so you can see exactly how they operate and where they are positioned. It also shows the V-shaped position that F1 drivers are forced to sit in. One thing you might not realize about Formula 1 is the size of the fuel tank. It is tall and narrow and when full reaches as high as the driver's head. It is fitted with baffles that empty one-by-one to prevent the fuel from sloshing around.
