The Leon ST 4Drive is offered with either a 1.6 TDI with 104hp rated at 4.5l/100km or a 2.0 TDI with 148hp rated at 4.8l/100km. The 104hp version will go on sale in April, and the 148hp version will go on sale in the summer. Both come with start/stop and braking energy regeneration.

The all-wheel drive system uses a Haldex all-wheel drive system with electronic differential locks on both axles and sends power side-to-side while cornering. During normal operation, power goes only to the front wheels, but when traction is lost, power is sent to the rear. The system has no affect on luggage space.

It will also be available with full-LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, city emergency braking, drowsiness detection and lane-keeping assistant.
