with 19-year-old Russian GP3 and Formula 3 driver Daniil Kvyat for the 2014 season. He did a straight-line test with Red Bull last week.

"Whenever we put him in a car his efforts were remarkable. If a young driver proves talent, passion and a high level of work ethic, we give him a chance. It's that perspective that is why we chose Kvyat," said Red Bull motorsport adviser Helmut Marko.

Kvyat currently sits in second place in the GP3 series with two races and 40 points remaining in the final weekend in Abu Dhabi. He has 131 points, compared to Facu Regalia with 138 points.

He came in third in the Eurocup Formula Renault in 2011 and came in second in the series in 2012.

"This is fantastic news, a dream come true and I want to thank Red Bull and Toro Rosso for giving me this priceless opportunity. Ever since I began karting, I wanted to get to Formula 1 and now that wish will become reality next season," said Kyvat.
