. The Japanese brand revealed that it was the largest revamp yet made in a mid-life cycle model facelift.

With a huge investment, Toyota Avensis will undergo a major renovation in terms of design, engine range and chassis. Still, the Japanese brand hasn't revealed many specific details about the model that will be unveiled in Geneva.

One of the big features of the new Avensis is a new range of engines that are mainly intended to improve performance and efficiency in order to attract new fleet and private customers. Some of these engines shall be provided by BMW, like the diesel 1.6-liter D-4D now available on Verso.

In terms of design, the new Toyota Avensis approaches the current line of the brand. The model gets new headlamps, bumpers and bonnet, plus a redesigned rear with new lights and bumper.

The new Toyota Avensis will also undergo changes in the chassis, but more details will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show.
