Toyota Planning Hybrid iQ and Aygo by 2020

by 2020, although likely before. Reportedly, Toyota is working on a new two-cylinder hybrid engine that would go into these two future cars. 

This engine was first shown in the FT-Bh concept from the Geneva Motor Show. The engine was a 1.0 liter, two-cylinder hybrid that used 1.7l/100km and produced 49g/km of CO2 in the concept. According to a Toyota official that hybrid powertrain "wasn’t just developed for a concept." When it announced the FT-Bh, Toyota also said a plug-in version would be possible that would cut emissions to 19g/km of CO2.
