Toyota unveils hybrid sports car concept at Nurburgring
Toyota took advantage of the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring last weekend to unveil a new sports car concept. The GRMN Sports Hybrid Concept II is a mid-engined hybrid, two-seat convertible.
The 3.5 liter V6 powers the rear wheels while the electric motor functions on the front wheels. Combined the motors produce 295hp. Toyota claims the car will weigh less than 1,500kg.
The car's styling blends queues from the MR2 with just a little bit of Audi R8 sprinkled in.
Toyota made no statements on whether or not the GRMN would make it into production and only released one photo of the concept.
