Also known as Nissan Navara, the Frontier is a pickup truck produced by Nissan. It started being prodcued in 1998 and was the successor of the D21 Nissan Hardbody truck.

The first generation of the Navara was built between 1998 and 2004. During that time the Frontier suffered a facelift in 2001 and received new grille, bumper, headlights, taillights, built in fender flares, and tailgates.

The second generation, codenamed D40, was introduced in 2005 and is based on the Nissan F-Alpha platform. In its different markets the Navara is offered with a lineup of engines with power going from 144 to 265hp. In 2010 the European versions of the Frontier received a facelif with visual changes found on the headlights and the bonnet. The v-shaped grille shell is less pronounced and the bumper is rounder and projects 80mm further forward.
