The Opel Antara is a compact crossover SUV manufactured since 2006. It was preceeded by the Opel Antara GTC concept which was shown at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show.

In 2010 the model received some updates with new front and rear lights, a revised centre console, instrument graphics and interior lighting. Other new standard features are the electric parking brake, a hill assistance system and a "shift-up" indicator to optimise fuel economy in manual transmission versions. With the new model, a new 2.2 diesel engine was introduced to replace the previous 2.0 diesel unit.
