The Perry Motor Company was founded by Brothers James and Stephen Perry in Tyseley, Birmingham, in 1824, but only after its sale to James William Bayliss in the 1890’s the company changed its object to car building. The first Perry car was made by William Bayliss’s son, Cecil Bayliss, in 1912 and production pursued until 1916. Financial difficulties aggravated by the WWI, dictated the death of the company that was officially liquidated in 1918.
