A facelifted Peugeot 308 is premiered at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The design of the new 308 has been adjusted to Peugeot’s latest stylistic codes. The new design cues in the restyled 308 can be spotted for example on the “floating” front grille concept, which is enhanced by the satin chrome bead, on the V-shaped nose of the bonnet and on the boomerang shaped lights. The back of the SW has been designed with a wider boot aperture, which also had influence on the lower panel and the rear lights looks.

The 308 has also seen improvements in terms of CO2 emissions and fuel efficiency. In order to enhance these characteristics the overall weight of the 308 has been reduced by 25kg (average on all body variants), fitted with new 16-inch ultra low rolling resistance tyres and features a wind drag figure of just 0.28Cd.

The 1.6 litre e-HDi FAP 112 bhp engine version comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox or electronically-controlled manual gearbox.

308

308 is a compact car introduced in 2007. The model replaced the 307, in which it was based. There are many body styles available: the 3 or 5-door hatchback, the 5-door station wagon and a 2-door coupe cabriolet. The engine has a diesel or petrol option, and the HDi version was at the time the most fuel-efficient mainstream production car on the market. There is also a hybrid version planned.   more
