The Pinguin 200 was a short-lived, 3-wheeled micro car built at Ruhr-Fahrzeugbau, Herne, Westphalia in Germany. It was powered by an air-cooled 200cc Ilo engine that drove the single rear wheel. It was heralded by an inspiring advertising campaign that proclaimed the car to be "Economical, sleek, and fast", adding that the small car was "not a pipe dream, but a reality".
The Pinguin was more conventional and car-like in appearance from the front than its contemporaries, many of which adhered to the 'bubble' concept. The body tapered off to the rear and seated two adults in questionable comfort.
