Buick unveiled the 2014 Regal at the 2013 New York Auto Show.
The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gets an 18% power boost to 259hp and 295lb-ft from 220hp and 260lb-ft previously. The GS previously had 270hp from this engine, but it will now share its turbo engine with the Turbo trim level. The other engine option will be the 2.4-liter four-cylinder hybrid with 182hp and 172lb-ft of torque. The Regal GS gets a six-speed manual transmission, and the other models get a six-speed automatic.
The new engine has less friction and more refined noise, vibration and harshness. The Regal Turbo and GS will be available with all-wheel drive for the first time.
