Saxon Motor Car Company was founded by Hugh Chalmers and Harry W. Ford first in Detroit and later in Ypsilanti, Michigan, USA in 1913. Saxons, medium price cars but with some features only offered by bigger cars, became very successful and the company rapidly ranked among the first USA car builders. The company did not resist the post-WWI recession and had to cease production. The last Saxon cars were sold in 1923.
