Scripps-Booth Company was founded by James Scripps-Booth in Detroit, Michigan, USA, in 1913. Scripps-Booth were high quality, good endurance, luxury automobiles, that were very well received in the market. In 1910 the Company went public and James Booth lost control of the management. In 1917 the Scripps Booth Company was purchased by Chevrolet (General Motors) and the brand name was discontinued in 1923.
