In 2008 the concept of the forth generation Seat Ibiza was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, having been shown the Bocanegra concept car.
The Ibiza Mk4 has entered the markets just a bit later, in mid-2008, and is being marketed as the “New Ibiza”.

The Ibiza’s engine range includes 1.2-, 1.4- and 1.6-liter petrol engines, in addition to a 1.4- and a 1.9-liter TDI (diesel) engines. These are front-mounted and are able to produce from 70 up to 105 hp, achieving their top speed between 101 and 116 mi/h (between 163 and 187 km/h).
The car is driven by its front wheels and its transmission runs through a 5-speed manual gearbox.
