Acura first presented the NSX concept at the 2012 NAIAS, this year the automaker revealed an updated version of the concept.

The latest version has a slightly reworked rear end and a full interior this time. Acura says that the NSX will go on sale in 2015, and they will be built at its Marysville, Ohio, factory where it is also being developed.

"This further evolution of the Acura NSX Concept design is remarkably true to the original concept styling. We're making great progress in delivering on the expectations we created a year ago, with advanced technology that will bring new levels of performance and a unique, dynamic experience to the exotic sports car market," said Mike Accavitti, head of Acura monitoring.

Honda has tapped into the zeitgeist of modern sports car design. Like the new Corvette, the NSX has a wrap-around, driver focused cockpit almost like the sports cars of the 90s. Unlike the Corvette, the NSX will only be available with a paddle-shift dual-clutch transmission with a push-button gear select.

The problem facing the NSX is mixing the technology that is sure to come with the car with the simplicity that is important in a sports car. The sports car buyer wants to focus on driving and not let tech get in the way.

Power for the NSX will still come from a mid-mounted V6 with three electric motors that allows the car to have torque-vectoring all-wheel drive.
