Review

In 2012, Fiat dropped the Evo name from the Punto and just kept the Punto name on the car with either three- or five-doors. It addition to the slight name change, it is getting some slight updates. There are new front and rear bumpers. Plus, the TwinAir engine is finally available. It is available in five trim levels: Pop, Easy, Lounge, GBT and TwinAir.

Design

The external revisions to the Punto include a new front bumper that is meant to blend the looks of the Grande Punto and Punto Evo. It comes in the same color as the body and has two air intakes each on either side of the number plate. The headlights and turn signals remain basically the same. The grill is now covered in black mesh as well. In the rear, the Fiat badge opens the tailgate, and the rear bumper is also body-color. Also new are the 15in wheels.

The inside gets new Sportex seat fabrics that breathe well. It comes standard with an adjustable steering wheel and driver's seat. Various trim levels include navigation, upgraded seats, dual-zone climate control, electric rear windows and Bluetooth.

Trim Levels

Pop, Easy and Lounge are the standard trim levels. Starting with Pop as the base level, but Fiat knows most buyers will buy the Easy and Lounge specifications. The GBT model is meant to celebrate Fiat's sponsorship of British Cycling. It is based on the Easy trim with sportier wheels, lowered sports suspension, tinted glass, a body-colored rear spoiler and side skirts. The TwinAir is also based on the Easy trim with 15in wheels, gloss black mirror covers and door pillars, tinted glass and unique seats. The Twinair has its own color, Unplugged Green, with an optional black roof.
