The second generation of the Dacia Logan was unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. This new generation is supposed to introduce new design cues and enhance the brand image. Such new design elements include revised front-end lines, highlighting the Dacia logo. In profile, the proportions of the body panels and glazed surfaces are intended to communicate robustness, supported by more prominent wheel arches and indented flanks.
The new Logan is the four-door sedan of the lineup and meant as a basic family car. While still plain, the new look is cleaner and less cluttered than previous designs. The new Logan offers 510dm³ of rear load room.
The Logan is available with a TCe 90 engine, 1.2 16v 75 engine, dCi 75 diesel or dCi 90 diesel. The TCe 90 is the new engine among the group. It produces 90hp, uses 5.2l/100km and emits 120g/km of CO2. The 1.2-liter petrol with 75hp is carried over and uses 5.9l/100km and emits137g/km of CO2. Dacia is also offering a version fueled by LPG that emits 125g/km of CO2. The two diesels with either 75hp or 90hp have been improved to produce 200Nm of torque for the 75hp version and 220Nm for the 90hp version. That is a 20Nm improvement over the previous version. They both use 3.8l/100km and emit 99g/km of CO2.
Updates include the Dacia Plug&Radio, which is an infotainment screen with Bluetooth and USB compatibility, a new Media Nav that adds satellite navigation to the Plug&Radio's 7in touchscreen and optional cruise control and rear parking sensors.
