The VisionC design study was built to show the shape of a new five-door coupé variant for the Octavia and also the next step of Skoda's design language.
The concept is based on VW's MQB platform and the same wheelbase found on the Octavia hatchback. The vehicle has some styling cues of the Volkswagen CC, with lower roofline, shallower side windows and more steeply raked windscreen. Differentiating it from the VW model, it featurea a hatchback, instead of a conventional boot.
According to the brand the five-door coupé may give Skoda a more expressive, dynamic and emotional design, and simultaneously innovative body concepts.
The car is equipped with a 1.4l and 110hp turbo engine either fueled by petrol or LPG. According to Skoda with an LPG engine the car would have an average fuel consumption of 3.4l/100km and 91g/km of CO2 emissions.

The origin of Skoda Auto goes back to 1895. Václav Laurin, a mechanic, and Václav Klement, book-seller, both shared a passion for bicycles. When Klement tried to get spare parts to fix is bicycle and wrote to the manufacturer in Czech, he got an unfawl reply asking him to write in a language they could understand. In that moment, the two Czechs founded Laurin & Klement and started to produce bicycles under the patriotic name: Slavia.
