Società Piemontese Automobili was founded by Matteo Ceirano and Michele Ansaldi in Turin, Italy, in 1906 to build passenger and sports cars. In 1908 the company merged with Fabbrica Ligure Automobili Genova (FLAG) and the new Company was reorganized under the name SPA (Società Piemontese Automobili). SPA was taken over by Fiat in 1925 and the brand was dropped in 1926.
