Spartan Cars was a british kit car manufacturer founded in 1973 by Jim McIntyre. In 1991 the company was taken over by a former production manager, Steve Beardsall, that introduced the Spartan Treka based on the Ford Fiesta Mk2.

The models offered by Spartan included an open, 2+2 seater kit car initially based on the Triumph Herald (once the Triumphs became rarer the company designed a new chassis based on the Ford Cortina Mk III-V); the Sherwood, an estate car based on the Ford Cortina; and the Starcraft, a six wheel motor caravan conversion for the Ford Cortina Mk III-V.

The company closed its doors in 1995.
