Star Motor Company was founded by the Lisle family in Wolverhampton, U. K., in 1898. The Company produced passenger cars until the outbreak of the WWI, during which only lorries were produced. Car production was resumed in 1919 and the Company decided to diversify adding a range of vans and trucks to its production, becoming one of the biggest automotive manufacturers in the UK. In 1928, the Company was sold to Guy Motors and production of Star cars ceased in March 1932.
