seven-passenger crossover.
Severnvalley took a brand new Qashqai and stripped it down to a bare chassis. It also took a GT-R and stripped it down to just a drivetrain. It had to create a custom sub-frame to support the engine but was able to mate the two parts. It then started reapplying the Qashqai body parts, but modifications were necessary like fender extensions and hood vents. While it was at work, Severnvalley also took the time to modify the GT-R’s engine up to 900hp.
The interior from the GT-R is swapped in and has air conditioning, cruise control and its multi-function display. Severnvalley also added its own customer roll cage and trimmed the interior in leather and Alcantara. There are two sport seats in the rear and as much cargo area as a standard Qashqai. For added luxury there is a panoramic glass sunroof.
The company plans to build a second Qashqai-R with 1,000hp.
Severnvalley says that it is willing to build a Qashqai-R for a customer, but the person would have to supply both the GT-R and Qashqai. The customer would also have to pay for the conversion.
