opened in its new musuem in Stuttgart in May 2006, and it will build its second museum in the world in Beijing that will be part of its Mercedes-Benz Cultural Center. Mercedes says the construction is part of its long-term commitment to the Asian market, espcially China.

The building is still in the earliest stages of development, and Mercedes has not yet even selected an architect for the project and is still evaluating locations for the site. The museum and cultural center are still several years away.

"We aim to build an iconic building in an interesting part of Beijing. That's all I can say at the moment. Further information will follow in due time," said Arnd Minne of DaimlerDaimlerGermany, 1889 > present12 models
