will be officially presented at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Evora 400 will be the fastest production car ever produced by Lotus and is part of the new growth strategy that was settled by Gales, with the goal of reaching an annual sales volume of 3,500 units over the next three years. Currently sales are already increasing of 63% compared to last year and the goal set for 2015 to sell 2000 units should be accomplished.

The name of the new version of the Evora comes from the 400hp output of the 3.5-liter V6 engine. The model has undergone a major overhaul that includes 60% new parts. In terms of design the highlight goes to the new front and the new rear. The cabin was also completely redesigned and the chassis has also undergone major changes.

With a starting price of 70,000 pounds (95,000 euros), Gales says the Evora has the ingredients and the looks of a supercar that can only be reached by cars costing much more. The Evora 400 reaches a top speed of 299km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in about 4.1 seconds.

The trust from Lotus on the Evora 400 success made the company create two production lines in Hethel and to hire 150 extra production employees, in order to increase the volume of cars produced per week from 45 to 70 by September.
