BMW is just signing technology deals left and right. First, it signed with Toyota earlier in the month to co-develop lithium-ion batteries. Now, there are rumors of a backroom deal to take place at the North American International Auto Show that would have BMW and GM developing fuel cells together. 

BMW has been experimenting with the technology for several years now, and GM have been working on fuel cells of its own. Perhaps to two large automakers think that they can get farther by pooling their resources. 

While this deal is still a rumor, we will keep our ears peeled during the show that starts next Monday, January 9.
