at the North American International Auto Show during its press conference on January 15. 

"Cadillac customers are going to enjoy the unique features ELR will bring to the market.  We’re going to change the way people think about luxury and electrification,” said Chris Thomason, ELR chief engineer.

The ELR is the Cadillac version of the Chevrolet VoltVoltChevrolet VoltUnited States of America, 2011 > present3 photos
. Cadillac has hinted that it might have some technological upgrades over the Volt like a larger battery pack, but they will be built in the same factory. 

While the version of the ELR that Cadillac is now showing is disguised, it has previously shown undisguised versions of the ELR. The car's styling is based on the Cadillac Converj concept.
