is looking back to the past for the look of the latest 911 Targa911 Targa 4Porsche 911 Targa 4Germany, 2014 > present. As revealed at the North American International Auto Show, the 911 Targa 4 and 911 Targa 4S go back to the look of the original 911 Targa with a retracting roof panel for open air driving. Also like the original cars, the roof bar is polished metal.

The fully automatic roof system can be opened or closed at the push of a button and stows the roof in the car behind the rear seats.

The cars will only be available with an all-wheel drive powertrain, which means a wider rear track, wider fenders and standard Porsche Traction Management.

The 911 Targa 4 will start at $101,600 in the US and come with a 3.4-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with 350hp. The 911 Targa 4S start at $116,200 in the US with a 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with 400hp. Both cars also carry a $995 destination charge. They will go on sale in Europe in May for €109,338 for the 911 Targa and €124,094 for the Targa S in Germany.
