Alfa Romeo is launching at the Paris Motor Show next week the new sportier Giulia Veloce range. The Italian brand will be launching the Veloce with two engines, both fitted with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Giulia Veloce is distinguished by a more sporty interior as well by the addition of a new rear diffuser, dual exhaust outlet and the specific front bumper. The exterior design can be completed with 19-inch wheels as an optional.
Inside the Giulia Veloce gets sports seats and several aluminium highlights, which further emphasize the sporty sedan. Besides the usual "Alfa DNA" selector, this
Giulia will also have several electronic driving aids with a 6.5 inch screen as the central piece of the cabin, which functions as a multimedia terminal and supports the latest connectivity options.
Giulia AE – Advanced Efficiency
Alfa Romeo will also be revealing the
new AE version. Distinguished by a specific badge on the tailgate, this version is based on the 180 HP 2.2-litre Diesel engine with 8-speed automatic transmission.
Thanks to a retuned engine with a low-pressure EGR valve, an air-water intercooler, a secondary engine cooling circuit in addition to the primary circuit, and specific gearbox ratios, the AE will be known by its efficiency with an announced combined consumption of 4.2l/100km and low emission levels at 99g/km of CO2.
The aerodynamic coeficient has also been lowered to 0.23 with a 5mm heigh reduction and specifically-designed alloy wheel rims. The Giulia AE will also be fitted with specific 205/60 R16 tyres for reduced rolling resistance. The efficient version will be able to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 7.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 230km/h.
