, Suzuki had ceased to be represented in this segment. Now the new Vitara comes to occupy the empty spot, with one of the most popular Japanese brand names.
Just like the Grand Vitara, the new model should receive the all-wheel drive system of the brand, the AllGrip. The range of engines available for the Vitara should be the same offered on the SX4 S-Cross.
Suzuki says that the new Vitara "will have a striking road presence with distinctive design." Customers will be given the opportunity to customize the car with several colors and trim options.
The design of the new Vitara was based on the IV-4Suzuki IV-4Japan, 2014 > 2014 concept, vehicle unveiled last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The new car is based on a totally new platform which should be used by several models in the future.
