Introduced in the market in 2010, the Toyota iQ2 1.4D-4D is the 1st generation of the microcar model. Powered by a 1364cc engine, this version has a power output of 90 hp. The hatchback features the biggest engine offered. It has a manual transmission and front wheel drive. The vehicle reaches the 100km/h mark in 11.8 seconds at a top speed of 170 km/h. This microcar variant holds the record for top speed in this series. It is the fastest version in the line-up. This microcar-version features a combined consumption of 4 l/100km. CO2 emissions are fixed at 104 g/km. Driving this car is cheaper than all the others in this series. This Toyota has the lowest fuel consumption which makes it the most fuel-efficient in this generation. It has a boot volume of 32 l. Although it can be extended by lowering the back seats. The Toyota iQ was first presented at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show as a concept vehicle. In 2008 at the Geneva Auto Show it was introduced and set to go into production and reach the european market in January 2009. The iQ is available with a 5- or 6- speed manual transmission and models with the 1.33 litre engine already include start/stop system.
