Introduced in the market in 2010, the Toyota iQ2 1.4D-4D is the 1st generation of the microcar model. Powered by a 1364cc engine, this version has a power output of 90 hp. The hatchback features the biggest engine offered. It has a manual transmission and front wheel drive. The vehicle reaches the 100km/h mark in 11.8 seconds at a top speed of 170 km/h. This microcar variant holds the record for top speed in this series. It is the fastest version in the line-up. This microcar-version features a combined consumption of 4 l/100km. CO2 emissions are fixed at 104 g/km. Driving this car is cheaper than all the others in this series. This Toyota has the lowest fuel consumption which makes it the most fuel-efficient in this generation. It has a boot volume of 32 l. Although it can be extended by lowering the back seats. This Toyota iQ2 1.4D-4D features rack & pinion steering, and it wears disc brakes.

The Toyota iQ was first presented at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show as a concept vehicle.
