Toyota Matrix (Japan, 2003-present)

Matrix is a compact car introduced in 2003. It resulted from a joint venture between Toyota and GM (Pontiac Vibe). The 5-door hatchback could also be considered a crossover sport utility vehicle (CUV) due to its sportier look. In 2005 it was refreshed and in 2007 it was presented a new generation that hit the streets in 2009. It has 3 engine options and manual or automatic transmission.
