Urban Concept (Germany, 2011)

Audi Urban Concept was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) in 2011. The Urban Concept has a completely new design though for urban and metropolitan areas. With a sleek body, blunt nose and 4 cycle-style wheels mounted away from the body, Audi defines the car as combining “elements of a racecar, a roadster, a fun car and a city car into a radical new concept”. The small car has 2 seats, but not exactly one next to the other. The passenger is behind the driver but on the side, so he still has visibility to the front. The front segment of the greenhoouse is movable; the canopy can be closed or opened by the driver.

The Urban Concept is powered by two electric motors. It has Audi Wireless Charging (AWC) which according to Audi has the same efficiency has other charging technologies.
