Astra VXR

In 2011, Vauxhall debuted a new Astra VXR for 2012. It is based on the newest generation Astra GTC but with a large number of chassis modifications. The chassis development of the variant was done on the Nuerburgring.

It uses a mechanical limited-slip differential to mitigate torque steer. It also uses the GTC's HiPerStrut dynamic suspension system. The Astra VXR gets Brembo brakes and adaptive FlexRide system.

The 2012 VXR is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 liter four-cylinder that produces 280PS and 400Nm of torque capable of a 155mph top speed.

The car features custom front and rear bumpers, side skirts, roof spoiler and twin, trapezoidal exhaust tips. The interior has sport seats, VXR badges and flat-bottomed steering wheel.
