has announced that it is adding the 1.6 SIDI Turbo engine for the AstraOpel Astra Gen.4 [J/D]Germany, 2010 > 2015194 versions

5-door, sedan and Sports Tourer, and it is showing its range of safety vehicles for RETTmobil 2013.

The 1.6 SIDI Turbo in the Astra produces 168hp and 207lb-ft of torque. It uses 5.9l/100km and emits 139g/km of CO2, and the Sports Tourer uses 6.1l/100km and emits 144g/km of CO2. It offers 14% better fuel economy than the previous 1.6 Turbo and 37lb-ft more torque. It is available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic. Both come with start/stop.

Acceleration to 100km/h takes 8.7 seconds, and the cars have a top speed of 220km/h.

Prices will start at €23,385, including 19% German VAT or €24,485 for the Astra Sports Tourer.

RETTmobil, the annual German service vehicle show, began on May 15, and Opel brought its entire range of safety vehicles, including a special AdamOpel ADAM Gen.1Germany, 2012 > present25 versions

The Zafira Tourer is a actually on sale and is meant as a first response ambulance. It includes the standard alarm and LED lights plus a upgraded, 230v electrical system, analog and digital radio and a space for a wide variety of safety equipment in the rear.
