The 1.6 SIDI Turbo in the Astra produces 168hp and 207lb-ft of torque. It uses 5.9l/100km and emits 139g/km of CO2, and the Sports Tourer uses 6.1l/100km and emits 144g/km of CO2. It offers 14% better fuel economy than the previous 1.6 Turbo and 37lb-ft more torque. It is available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic. Both come with start/stop.
Acceleration to 100km/h takes 8.7 seconds, and the cars have a top speed of 220km/h.
Prices will start at €23,385, including 19% German VAT or €24,485 for the Astra Sports Tourer.
