Unveiled at the 2013 North American International Auto Show, the Performance concept uses the 1.8 TFSI EA888 engine with 250hp and a six-speed automatic transmission. Oddly, this would not top the Passat range. The 3.6 VR6 produces 280hp. Although, the new four-cylinder would have much better fuel economy. 

Other than the engine, Volkswagen has added bi-xenon front headlights, LED taillights, 19in wheels, dual exhausts, and carbon trim. There is also carbon trim for the interior.
