Volkswagen presented in Qatar 2011 two special editions of its Touareg model: the Race Touareg 3 Qatar, a street legal version of the Dakar Rally race car and the Touareg Gold Edition, a version enhanced with 24-carat gold.
The Touareg Gold Edition it is definitely a car to be parked in a very well surveilled area as it comes with areas upgraded with 24-carat gold. These upgrades include the custom designed 22-inch wheels, roof rails, protective guard strips and window frames, mirror caps and parts of the air intake frame, "Touareg V8" signature and boot sill trim. The interior has also received some 24-carat gold enhancements on many of the car’s accents and switches.
