Review

In 2010 a new model joined the Volvo lineup. The V60 is a sports wagon, produced in Torslanda, Sweden.
The V60 design shows a pronounced wedge shape and a slim coupe-like roof line, a feature the Volvo design team termed “racetrack” design.

In terms of engine range the Volvo V60 is available with five petrol and three diesel powertrains. The Swedish brand offers a variety of engines, from an economical 115 horsepower DRIVe version to a high-performance turbocharged version producing 304 horsepower. Special attention was paid to cutting the CO2 emissions and to lower fuel consumption throughout the whole range.

The Volvo V60 also features a new technology developed by the Swedish brand: the Pedestrian Detection. This technology helps the driver avoid accidents by being able to detect if a pedestrian steps out into the road in front of the car. The car can automatically activate the brakes.

2013 Updates

In order to boost sales, Volvo decided to refresh the V60 for 2013. It gets an updated front end inspired in the Concept You. The new front end is smoother and simpler than its predecessors.

Updates include Volvo's new Sensus Connected Touch infotainment system that includes a 7in touchscreen LCD screen with full Internet access and a TFT display in the instrument panel that displays vehicle information. Automatic transmission models can also be specified with paddle shifters now.

All of the cars are also available with a heated windshield and steering wheel as well. The brand also offers a new Active High Beam Control system that switches between high beams and low beams automatically.

The interior was updated as well as a sporty suspension option that comes from the R-Design model.
