The Wiesmann GT MF4-CS attempts to create a more track-ready version of the GT MF4 by cutting weight and adding track-ready equipment. It celebrates 25 years of Wiesmann building cars and will therefore me limited to 25 cars.

The CS in the name stands for “Club Sport,” and the car is based on the version that has been racing in the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring since 2002, but it remains street legal. It sheds 20kg (44lbs) of weight by adding a carbon fiber roof, lighter bucket seats, polycarbonate windows and no door handles. Deleting the air conditioning and stereo will also be an option.

Other additions to the CS include wider fenders, larger front splitter, daytime running lights, carbon fiber rear wing, internal roll bar, adjustable suspension, sport brakes and new rear axle ratio. Each car has its serial number engraved into the gear shift.

The CS is powered by a 420hp V8 that gets to 100km/h in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 293km/h (182mph). It weighs 1350kg (2976lbs).

A further option will be a carbon trim package for the interior and full track package with four-point safety harnesses, sport brake pads and Michelin Cup tires.

GT

In 2003 Wiesmann introduced for the first time, after building pure Roadster models over 12 years, a Coupé model. The GT was first presented at the IAA and differs from the Roadster models in terms of design, construction and engine. Just like the Roadsters, the vehicles are badged with MF, standing for the initials of the company’s founders, and a number for their engine variant.   more
