Herbert Funke and Philipp Will teamed up in 1996 to construct a sport roadster that they named Yes!, acronym for “Young Engineers Sportscar”. The company Funke & Will Automotive was founded three years later with the debut of the YES! Clubsport at Frankfurt. In 2004, Funke & Will were awarded the Deutscher Grunderpreis for startup companies in the category “emerging”. In 2009 the company declared bankruptcy and in 2010 was bought up by YES! Beteiligungs- und Besitzgesellschaft which continues the production of Yes! cars.
