Zimmer Motorcars Corporation was founded in 1978 by Paul Zimmer with the goal of producing neo-classic cars. The Golden Spirit was the first model launched by Zimmer. It was originally sketched on a napkin by Paul Zimmer. The company survived only for a decade before going bankrupt. In 1997, Art Zimmer bought the rights and founded Art Zimmer Neo-Classic Motor Company. Zimmer currently produces about 20 cars a years.
