Audi A4 (Germany, 1994-present)

Audi launched its compact executive model A4 just before the end of 1994. The Audi A4 was conceived in order to succeed the Audi 80 model. Four A4 generations have spawned ever since and the fourth is still in active production nowadays. The A4 has always been offered as either a sedan or a wagon type of car. Only the second and third A4 series had cabriolet versions.

As the successor of the Audi 80, the A4 follows its lineage with its generations being designated, B5 series, B6, B7 and B8. The current B8 series is based on the MLB platform.
