2012 Chevrolet Traverse

The newest generation of Chevrolet's Trailblazer debuted on November 10 at the Dubai International Motor Show. The seven-seat, mid-size SUV will go on sale first in Thailand in 2012 then throughout the rest of the world.

The new Trailblazer was designed by Chevrolet do Brasil and shares a platform with the new Chevy Colorado pickup truck. Chevrolet did not go into detail about the car's engine because it will be tuned specifically to each market.

The exterior of the Trailblazer wears the two-tier Chevrolet grill with LED foglights mounted in the lower bumper. There are short front and rear overhangs, and the wheels stick out further than the rest of the body to allow for high angles of approach and departure. The side mirror also have integrated LED turn signals. The design itself is muscular with bright, modern styling.

The new Trailblazer has a pretty standard current Chevrolet interior. There are three rows of seats that can fold flat for maximum storage space. Down the center of the interior are two LED screens for the DVD players and also the HVAC.

The Trailblazer will roll out through the world starting with Thailand in early 2012.
