2013 Lexus RX Gets New Nose and Interior Upgrades

Lexus is upgrading the 2013 RX SUV with the new hourglass corporate grill, interior changes and a sport mode on the RX450h hybrid.

Exterior changes to the 2013 are just limited to the new nose that debuted on the GS. The LX SUV already got the new nose, and Lexus is promising that it will roll the look out on all of its cars over the next few years. The nose is six-sided in the shape of an hourglass. Lexus also took the chance to add LED running lights around the headlights.

Inside, all RXs get a new steering wheel that, according to Lexus, is more comfortable to hold, metallic trim on the glove box and a redesigned center stack.

Mechanically, the cars are also the same for next year. Lexus did add a sport mode to the RX450h that retunes the power steering, throttle response and shift points.

All RXs, except for the RX350 all-wheel drive, get an optional, new Sport Appearance Package that adds a different front bumper, halogen headlights and chrome 19in wheels.

Lexus has not announced any price adjustments for the 2013 RX.
